Nerdcore Entertainment Sampler (NES) was my attempt at doing a fully fledged nerdcore techno type project. Before even making my first track for this album, I was already familiar with the nerdcore techno sound. Listening to stuff like cycheouts, early dj sharpnel, atsuo, I enjoyed a lot of some of the sounds I had stumbled upon. But my biggest inspiration and love in nerdcore techno was "DieTrax - The eight bit strikes back".

This album really transformed me in a way, it was so fun to listen to, with it's catchy sampling alongside it's strong gabber elements as well as sick jungle type breaks, I was really hooked. So for something new, I set out to make something similar, a fusion of gabber and jungle with what I knew at the time. What I never expected was to produce a project I was really proud of. Not exactly because I think it sounds great or really good quality. It's more for the fact I rediscovered something in myself, and was able to have an incredible amount of fun making this.

So this album is dedicated to all the fun times I had as a kid getting through life by emulating games with the help of one of my best friends: "Raine", and playing games endlessly across all different consoles, but often Nintendo based...

And nerdcore techno allowing me to rediscover this lost treasure of mine.

this is my first time listening to travongle and wow... <3 FANTASTIC first impression. this is some seriously good shit right here. completely unabashed, unrestrained hardcore that keeps you dancing throughout the entire listen! the amen breaks here take front stage as they guide the samples in the tracks, creating a seriously energetic and hyped vibe that makes this album so fun! OH and the arrangement and composition is ridiculously fantastic. i love how these traxx progress :3 Molly
